Hello Tuesday! Last week, it rained and rained. Since I was stuck inside, I decided that I would paint one of our bathrooms that was in desperate need of love! It has sat neglected since we moved in our house. At first, I was just going to paint the walls, but that changed quickly. Thanks to this picture that I found on Pinterest!
BEFORE
The bathroom was not in terrible shape. It just needed some TLC.
I painted the walls of the bathroom the same as our laundry and front room in our house. It is Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter.
The cabinets were my favorite part! I used the color Evening Dove by Benjamin Moore. They have a dark gray/blue tone to them! I purchased the cabinet paint that Benjamin Moore sells. It goes on smooth and required me to only lightly sand before painting.
The day we moved in, I knew that I wanted to board and batten the long wall in this bathroom. We have one room in our house already using this style of wainscoting. This was very easy to install and I plan to do a post on this separately! The trim color is what the rest of our house is.
AFTER
New paint, mirrors, and knobs made all the difference in this bathroom. We added some shelves and I also purchased some baskets and a glass jar to fill with bath bombs. We would like to eventually add more lighting and a new light fixture to this bathroom, but it is perfect for now!
you did an amazing job, it turned out so great.

Looks so fresh and clean! I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so good! Our bathrooms desperately need attention, but we have so many other things going on that they will just have to wait a while! I am thinking about doing a gray for our cabinets too.

You are so good at decorating your home! I just love those mirrors. We got rid of those big sheet mirrors in both of our bathrooms! Good riddance. I just love that wainscoted wall! And GOSH, will this rain EVER stop?!!! We really haven't had the best Spring weather at all. :(

Thank you! Those sheet mirrors had to go! I have one more bathroom that needs it removed! I cannot believe we are getting snow on Friday!

ReplyDeleteYour bathroom is gorgeous dear. I absolutely love the minimalist cabinets on your sink. Beauitul modern touch. Lovely combination of neutral colors too, making that wood accents really pop!

Following the traditional design, cast iron baths and deep ridged sanitary ware are what gives the country bathroom its nostalgic look.Bathroom fitters London
